This is like mecca for air travel dorks like me. I never get bored of going here. And now with the new Udvar Hazy wing out near Dulles Airport, there's even more to see.
Arguably the best terrain in North America Squaw is flashy and fun, albeit a little annoying on busy weekends with tools from the bay area... but the locals are pretty cool and fun to watch blast KT-22 and the Palisades. Home of the 1960 Winter Olympics this place is worth the visit... I loved this museum. It is full of incredible art & inspiring quotes from Van Gogh throughout the building... Pretty sure I still have them in a notebook somewhere. If you go, get there early and you'll be glad once you see the line of people waiting to get in. One of my favorite museums ever.
The beautiful Painted Ladies. Fun fact: It's a common misconception that the Tanner's from Full House lived on this row. The true Tanner's house is actually a couple miles from here.
In a city full of wondrous places, this is among its best attractions. While it's lovely just about any time of year it's incredibly special in the fall.
