I was breathless when walking along the wall....it was so quiet even with all the people there. Lots of crying and names being traced. I'll never ever forget that feeling of complete sadness in the pit of my stomach.

this doesn't make most people's top list of things to do... but i think it's one of the coolest things in DC. You can see the originals of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. Cool feature is the security mechanism on the exhibits... they drop 7 stories into vault if any security breaches take place. I had a chance to visit the White House during the Obama family's first Christmas. The rooms are surprisingly small.
