This monolithic rock is reachable if you go at low tide. Another bonus are the tide-pools that host a variety of little creatures including starfish, crabs & sea slugs. And in case you thought Puffins were just a breakfast cereal, turns out sea birds like the tide pools, too.
I love that you get here by literally traveling via narrow spaces through the cliffs. I'm always game for a natural hot tub. Worth the adventure for sure.
Hard to imagine, but Lewis & Clark actually bypassed Yellowstone Park. Must have been in some hurry. Great to visit here in winter & explore via snowmobiles. Such a vast & incredible park.
This town is supposed to be fantastic due to their decision to "keep it real" and avoid a lot of commercial development. And you're hardly roughing it because you're on the Italian Riviera.
I was just here a few months ago and lucked out because there was a terrific arts festival tucked into the woods. You can imagine the combination of clean air, majestic trees and crazed children with painted faces darting around you as a magician keeps everyone occupied.
