This place has a very interesting history--it was purchased by a couple named William and Elizabeth Kent who were worried that the park would be destroyed. If you're staying in South Lake Tahoe, you'll want to ski Heavenly... it's on that side of the lake. On the north side, you'll have Squaw Valley and some other smaller mountains too.
