Set in what is truly one of the prettiest buffet spaces in town (and certainly in Downtown), with very high ceilings and tall windows bringing in much-needed natural light, the Main Street Station Garden Court buffet is one of the best in town, let alone Downtown. (Best Buffet)
At California’s famous In-N-Out, where the beef patties are never frozen and the potatoes are hand-diced daily, there’s a secret menu. Ask for your burger ‘animal style’ (with mustard, an onion-grilled bun and extra-special sauce).
This is a hard place to land good deals, although it never hurts to check the hotel's Web site for specials: rates average $250 to $300 much of the year, but during slower weeks you can usually snag a room for around $170 to $180 (competitive in comparison with other high-end Strip properties).
Stopping at the overlooks on both sides of the bridge is always fun and awe-inspiring! Then, drop down to Sausalito for a nice lunch on the Bay, gelato afterwards, and then onwards with the road trip...
