Great Gardens
Whether it’s the waterlillies of Monet’s garden, the butterflies that flutter around the Phuket Butterfly Garden, or the “How Do They Do That?” sculptures of the Ladew Topiary Garden, these green spaces are eye popping .
This probably won't come as a big surprise to anyone, but the flower carpet tradition was started by the owner of a begonia company. Amazingly, once the basic outline is put in place, it takes workers only four hours to put the flowers in place!

This incredible garden has survived natural disasters and owner neglect to become one of the country's most interesting sites. In addition to the incredible greenery, Heligan is also home to some amazing animals including a pair of owls.
The crowds can be awful but you've got to see it. Personally I think the gardens are more interesting than the palace. Just make sure you check the fountain schedule on their site as the famous fountains are not always in use and you want to be sure to be there when they are.
Amazing what some people can do with a free afternoon and a pair of clippers, isn't it? All kidding aside, this is the garden in front of a house supposedly owned by ancestors of George Washington.
One of my favorite places in L.A. by far. While they have endless plant varieties they seem to specialize in camellias, lilacs, and cherry blossoms--three of my favorites.
This should be on every human's bucket list from now until the end of time. I'd never even been a big fan of Monet and only went here to say I'd seen it but it was beyond my wildest imagination. While you're there make sure to check out the American museum that's within walking distance--it's well worth it.…see moresee less
This is the Fontaine de Medicis and my favorite place in the park. You can pull up a little green chair and read or just relax for hours which is exactly what I used to do. Make sure not to miss the other side of this monument (facing the street). It's just as beautiful as the front.
Wenn Wetter ist, auf jeden Fall einfach mal drin rumliegen. Total schön. Die Princes Street ist direkt daneben, da kannst Du Dich totshoppen. auch wenn die Läden die gleichen sind wie bei uns, nur teurer.
Kensington Gardens - I sat near an old guy who was feeding birds. He was wearing a hat and they kept jumping out of the hedge behind him to sit on his head and that hat never moved an inch LOL
One of my favorite places on the entire planet. Be prepared to get a little misty--literally. The wintergardens here get very humid so be prepared (and make sure to protect your camera--mine has never fully recovered). They also have an incredible gift shop full of seeds but unfortunately, you're not allowed to bring them back to the U.S.!!! I could have died!…see moresee less
