It's austere and more than a little intimidating but if you want a really, really fine custom shirt, this is the place to get it. If the shirts, which go up to about $1,400 are just too much, you might want to consider a pair of their signature cufflinks.
I missed this last time I was in town and must see it this time. It's a bespoke shoe company although I've heard the shop looks like it's stuck in the 1950s. Have to go see for myself. They've been in business for about 150 years.

The business at this little teeny tiny store front in SOHO has been cranking out custom shoes since the late 1800s and looks almost the way it could have then. Always wanted a pair of really great riding boots from here!
