If you're heading to PB, a little further south in Mission Beach there is a surf shop called Gone Bananas on Mission near Redondo that my wife insists we go to every time we there. Only place she buys beach clothes.
Another uber romantic hot-spot. The Farmer's Market has a plethora of great food options and for relatively cheap. They also have karaoke night sometimes, too. Woot for free entertainment!
This is the Fontaine de Medicis and my favorite place in the park. You can pull up a little green chair and read or just relax for hours which is exactly what I used to do. Make sure not to miss the other side of this monument (facing the street). It's just as beautiful as the front.
