In a city full of wondrous places, this is among its best attractions. While it's lovely just about any time of year it's incredibly special in the fall.

Touristy, but it's still really fun.

Venice is a beautiful place to see.The gondola ride was great also the italian food was the best.

Been to both CA and Florida Universal Studios. California has one up with its Hollywood Studio Tour. Orlando is an overall better experience

It is not very impressing – except the fresco of the dome – from the inside, but it's overwhelming form the outside.

The Duomo. When I would get lost walking home at night, I would get oriented by asking passers-by "Dove il Duomo?". That little bit of info always go me back on the right track. Should that have been: "Dove il Duomo è?"

Walkint through the city was breath taking with many statues to see also the italian cuisine is fantastic.

Actually, there are three courses here, the Blue, the Gold and the Emerald. They are all great couses.

This is my one of my favourite places, especially early in the morning, shrouded in mist. Also close to my fave breakfast crepe place

Take the Ferry between Ferry Building downtown and Sausalito. In Sausaltio you have Le Garage, Sushi Ran, Heath Ceramics. In Ferry Building there are ton of great restaurants and artisanal food stalls (meats, cheeses, breads, coffee, etc)

If you go there, look up Thomas Hawk. He works in the building and is a great photographer, and can show you around.

Built in the shape of a fireman's hose as a memorial to firefighters from the 1906 earthquake. You can either drive or walk to the top of the hill then climb the tower.

We went to the Empire State Building late at night (maybe 11 or 11:30). We walked down after we saw Jersey Boys. It was perfect because there were no lines....but you could see all the ropes for the queues, and they went on forever!!

I enjoyed it. I see all of my repeated attempts at recommendations have now shown up. Wish I could remove them.

Again, I'd recommend coming early. This fills up quickly and turns into a zoo.

Don't miss the Rialto, but it has gotten very commercial in the last 10 years.

I love the north end. great place to walk. historic things to see and still some old neighborhood charms. In August catch a religious festival.

Just like the photos. Wander the streets. Best saganaki and Greek salad. Pickled caper leaves.
