You must go here. I have been searching for a French bakery like this in LA and have been unsuccessful. The almond croissants and quiches are especially incredible.
Cool, Chinese dive bar. Occasionally has shows in the basement. They're known for their mai tais that'll knock you out, but I personally find them too sweet. Everything else, though -- strong pours ;)

Fantastic coffee and so many other busy bees around you! Beware of the lack of outlets though, there's only one table with outlets -- the communal one with the power strip in the back of the cafe.
When we went here, we arrived 30 minutes prior to opening and there was quite a long line; I think we waited almost 45 minutes. If you're into baked goods and pastries, it's worth the wait. I liked their banana cream pie but it's big!

Haven't been here yet, but hear great things about it. Sort of like a Disneyland for science. It's highly interactive and fun with more than one person, so it's perfect for you and your partner!
Sloane will dig all the sights and sounds, even at her age. We got Tatum an awesome hat there that she plays with to this day. Makes for great pics too.
On any night, there's always a line! So whoever gets there first should definitely put their name on the list because the wait can be anywhere from half an hour to two hours. Skip the sushi. Order the ramen, of which all the choices are fantastic. I love their ankimo, too!
