Stroll around after dinner... It's nice

We were blessed at this temple by a monk. It was awesome. Definitely worth the trek up there.

This was the most rewarding experience we have ever had. a MUST MUST do. Please don't fall for those terrible excursions that have you view elephants doing tricks, etc. Patara rescues elephants and you spend the day actually caring for these incredible animals. You will not regret it.

Take a train from KL to Chiang Mai for an unparelled view of the sunrise over the mountains.

Truly one of the most rewarding experience we have ever had. Instead of riding elephants or watching them do tricks like caged animals, you care for rescued elephants-- feeding them, bathing them, etc. These are incredible creatures and the workers at Patara understand and respect them. Must go!
