second most beautiful city in europe imho

Houses the St Vitus Cathedral which in turn houses what is my favourite stained glass window. Also houses the Chapel of St. Wenceslas and the burial places of many Bohemian kings and Holy Roman Emperors. Fantastic example of Gothic architecture.

The Czech Crown Jewels are kept here. The history of the castle goes back to the 9th century!

hopefully my next trip to europe will be here. this pic feels straight out of a mystery novel. prague has ten major museums right in the city.

A definite must see, this infamous castle has been the home and castle for the Hungarian Kings in Budapest. Incredible complex of chapels, museum artifacts & paintings, you won't be bored.

This is exactly what my tired, aching body needed after six weeks wandering around Europe.

Ahhhh, the mere notion of an entire country that is known for the thermal baths is just heaven. Apparently many of the baths, like this one, have been around for over a hundred years.

Steepest zipline, luge, bobsled, Alpine slide, rope's course, etc.

Take a day off the slopes for a visit and practice up on your bobsledding, street luge, nordic sprint races and biathlon shooting. You'll be in the Olympics in no time. Or you can do what I did and drink beer and just ride the chairlifts. The alpine slide and zipline are a blast too.

saw a game here. it was awesome. through a connection we had front row seats. the guy sitting next to me was reading a novel the entire game. i found that perplexing.

Haven't been at Christmas but understand it's really nice then. We have gone for May Day and enjoyed that.

This is the library's reading room which was called "one of the most beautiful rooms on the continent" by a popular magazine in 1927. It's also home to one of the world's largest books which is kept under a glass case.
