Take Lake Tahoe and plop it in the middle of Napa Valley but add people from BC and you have the Oakanagan. Great diveristiy, food and wine... Also home to an Ironman, what's not to like?
This place is so legit! The Pinot noir from Otago is amazing and the Chardonnay and Pinot Gris and is pretty special as well. Stock your cellar now, there is not a lot of planted acres in this region and when the world finds out it will be gone.
Maybe the best kept seceret in France as far as wine goes. Lots of bulk juice comes out of this region but there are many many boutique producers doing some cool shit here.
Beaune is the heart of Burgundy, and a Pinot noir fan must. I had the opportunity to have Boeuf Bourguignon with a nice Burgundy and it was magical, I definately need to get back and explore one of the most confusing and exceptional wine regions in the world.
Justin Smith of Saxuum fame is the consulting winemaker here and the wines are killer. These guys are kinda the cool new kids on the block and doing a good job.
