I was breathless when walking along the wall....it was so quiet even with all the people there. Lots of crying and names being traced. I'll never ever forget that feeling of complete sadness in the pit of my stomach.

surprised at the emotions that came welling up when i first saw the wall.

Loved this visit... just a look see. Included in a five mile walk.

We have been there many time. The last time was 2011.

We went and walked around to check out everything, but tbh, i'm not that into all the torture devices, so it wasn't that compelling to me.

Spent a whole day here and could have spent many more. It's not cheap and there's a lot to see so I would start early in the day. The crown jewels are just incredible and everything is displayed so well.

you can buy a little booklet with all the people who are buried there. Well worth it unless you do your homework ahead of time.

I'd driven every friend traveling through SF through this street. Never gets boring!

Stopping at the overlooks on both sides of the bridge is always fun and awe-inspiring! Then, drop down to Sausalito for a nice lunch on the Bay, gelato afterwards, and then onwards with the road trip...
