hyatt is great and much sunnier than princeville. We stayed in princeville and loved it and will stay there again next time, but it has more rain than Poipu side of the island.

One of my favorite hotels in the world. Love this place.

this is up on top of the in the little town up there. It's good food. there's another place in that little town too which is really good. I'm going to figure out the name of that one too!

It's up the hill and a decent drive from the Mauna Kea... but worth it. Nice to get out and go see some of Waimea.

Might be my favorite spot on earth. Rains a lot, but worth it. Totally relaxing and beautiful.

plantation tubing - supposed to be awesome.

I have not done the plantation tubing, but my brother has done it, and loved it! It's definitely on my list next time.

This is definitely something I want to check out since I've only once been on an inner tube once when I was 12 and in my back yard! These adventures go through open canals and sugar plantations & let's face it, you're in Kauai & can't go wrong. Type A people can add the zipline.

Good take out pizza prior to getting on the road to the airport for our red-eye out.

Rent an SUP (stand up paddle board) for the week at Boss Frog's and pay $150. OR, you can rent it for 3 hours at the Mauna Kea, and pay $150. Oh, and Mauna Kea won't rent it to you until 8AM, and not if the beach break is over 2 feet (too dangerous, apparently).

I'm very curious to find out who caught the opah and what type of bait or lures they used.
