Drove through the Everglades and looked for alligators the whole time. I didn't see any but when we stopped at a gas station there were a ton of alligator souvenirs.

Not to worry, it only had one really, really bad day (or great day if you're a desert) of 134 degrees. It set a record in the Western Hemisphere. Most of the other times it is just plain picture worthy at every turn you make. Just make sure you have plenty of gas in the car.
You have to go sailing in the Whitsunday Islands! Gorgeous. But check the weather and make sure you are not going during the "wet season" which is like going to Florida during the summer (hurricane season) because the water then is not as blue.
Beautiful, but have sad memories of a lady sitting inside holding her deceased child and mourning. A scene not easily forgetton. Make sure you climb up to see the gargoyles up close.

you would think there would be tons of nice beaches in the keys. but, we saw mostly mangroves. going through islamorada felt like going through modesto, but a fishing town. we still loved the keys though.
hey man, i was thinking this would be a cool spot to take a photo with the family, because it's such a noticeable landmark. you guys will be able to easily find that same spot 5, 10, 20 years from now and take awesome past and present pictures.
