See this gorgeous town square best from the Prague Castle! Not only is it a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but it's a great place to come and hear jazz of all things!
Though I grew up in the city, it wasn't till recently that I came up to Bernal Heights Hill for the first time -- and the view took my breath away. I excitedly pointed out a bunch of neighborhoods. This is one of those things that no photo could do justice and just has to be experienced first hand.

When a resort has the word "serenity" in the name you know you have to be in good hands. They'll even pack a picnic for you, take out out to a nearby island by boat, and come pick you up when you're finished.
Perched on a rocky islet in the midst of vast sandbanks exposed to powerful tides between Normandy and Brittany stand the 'Wonder of the West', a Gothic-style Benedictine abbey dedicated to the archangel St Michael, and the village that grew up in the shadow of its great walls. This is one of my favorites areas. It is located near the four corners of Utah, Colorado, AZ & NM. Truly phenomenal colors & rock formations. Small fee to get into the park & I believe you can also ride horseback during some parts of the year.

The Rice Terraces are commonly referred to by Filipinos as the "Eighth Wonder of the World".[1][2][3] It is commonly thought that the terraces were built with minimal equipment, largely by hand. The terraces are located approximately 1500 meters (5000 ft) above sea level and cover 10,360 square kilometers (about 4000 square miles) of mountainside. They are fed by an ancient irrigation system from the rainforests above the terraces. It is said that if the steps are put end to end it would encircle half the globe. Situated virtually in the geographic center of Australia, it is considered to be a sacred site by the local Aborigines, who believe that Uluru (local dialect) is where the earth itself rose in grief following a titanic battle among the gods. Today, it is a place where the very elements seem to bend to its will and is a must for any traveler "Down Under".…see moresee less
The one and only thing in life more incredible than the Tuileries in the spring is the Tuileries in the fall. This is often the first place I come when I'm in town and it never, never, never fails to amaze no matter how many times I see it. Just looking at it makes me wish I were there right now.
Not to worry, it only had one really, really bad day (or great day if you're a desert) of 134 degrees. It set a record in the Western Hemisphere. Most of the other times it is just plain picture worthy at every turn you make. Just make sure you have plenty of gas in the car.

The site also has an exceptionally high level of biological diversity and endemism. It is recognized as one of the world’s eight “hottest hotspots” of biological diversity. The forests of the site include some of the best representatives of non-equatorial tropical evergreen forests anywhere and is home to at least 325 globally threatened flora, fauna, bird, amphibian, reptile and fish species. Every autumn, millions, perhaps a billion, butterflies from wide areas of North America return to the site and cluster on small areas of the forest reserve, colouring its trees orange and literally bending their branches under their collective weight. In the spring, these butterflies begin an 8 month migration that takes them all the way to Eastern Canada and back, during which time four successive generations are born and die. How they find their way back to their overwintering site remains a mystery. One of 31 World Heritage Sites in Mexico!…see moresee less
Hard to imagine the beauty and color accompanying the millions of butterflies that return to this biosphere every fall. Somehow, after being dispersed throughout North America during the rest of the year the return to their home, again and again.
