I'm pretty certain that this will be the best lamb shwarma I'll ever have. It's all about the lamb! It's huge, so I always order one to go and split with a friend at a nearby bar or Dolores. Note: they serve chicken in place of lamb on Tuesdays and Fridays, days in which you wouldn't find me here ;)

take NOTE: this is a total DIVE - with the most awesome indian food. when I say dive, i mean total DIVE, but when I say good food, it's worth the quick jaunt in and out to get it ;) - don't take friends cause they'll think you're nuts....

Go to the backroom where the speakeasy'ish Hideout is located.

Locals love this place. The 24th and Mission location is where I managed to snag a quesadilla 4x the size of my head -- the quesadilla para dos is actually more like quesadilla para ocho! Oh, and their green sauce is amazing, especially at 3 AM.

There are two of what I call "The Castle" locations -- my favorite is the Church St. location. For a mere $2, I can get a delicious veggie taco the size of my head.

Cheap, stiff drinks in Chinatown. And that basement -- oh my. Definitely a San Francisco institution.
