Went on this when the line was still hours long...it should be more reasonable now but it is definitely worth the wait. Just be careful if you easily get motion sick, the combo of 3-D and motion ride may not be your favorite.
I think you want to hit this one early (and get another Fast Pass once you get out). Ava and I rode it separately on the same day, but both had the same "variation" of the ride, so ask someone at the ride if they change it daily, or if you can get different sequences on the same day.
I'm not sure how many variations there are for the new ride, but I rode the one with Hoth and Naboo. The new visuals were really cool, but the 3D effect didn't seem very immersive, however, I'm not sure if that was because I was sitting in the very first row all the way to the left because I'm not sure how many variations there are for the new ride, but I rode the one with Hoth and Naboo. I also tend to get a little nauseous on the rides where the movie doesn't perfectly match up with the motion, so that was kind of a bummer. With all that said, I'll definitely give it another go.…see moresee less
Park at the foot of the mountain by Vermont Ave and Los Feliz Blvd and hike up the road to the observatory (stay on the left side). Haven't been here yet, but hear great things about it. Sort of like a Disneyland for science. It's highly interactive and fun with more than one person, so it's perfect for you and your partner!
