Ordinarily I'm not a desert girl, but this place is incredible. The mountain views here are so incredible they look fake. Something very peaceful and calming about this place.
Park City is such a great town and less than an hour's drive from the airport. It is great in the summer as well for the art galleries and hikes and outdoor restaurants. Every year it seems to get better and better and it was great to start. Really nice people as well.
One of the more accessible ski towns in the US that also has world class slopes. Great for families but still has a decent nightlife for the younger crowd.
some of the best skiing in the us. it's a bit of drive from the salt lake airport but well worth it. there are condos you can rent that are right on the slopes.
Yes, this is definitely a place not to be missed when you visit. I recommend highly you go to the adjoining tabernacle where I believe on thursday nights there are free rehearsals with the world-renowned Tabernacle Choir. You will never forget it. Susan stayed here a couple years ago. Take a day off the slopes for a visit and practice up on your bobsledding, street luge, nordic sprint races and biathlon shooting. You'll be in the Olympics in no time. Or you can do what I did and drink beer and just ride the chairlifts. The alpine slide and zipline are a blast too.
This is a really fun brew pub in SLC with great food (and yes you can drink in Utah but also know that liquor laws keep the alcohol content lower or at least that used to be the case). This is my sister's favorite place to hang out in the city.
This is one of my favorites areas. It is located near the four corners of Utah, Colorado, AZ & NM. Truly phenomenal colors & rock formations. Small fee to get into the park & I believe you can also ride horseback during some parts of the year.
Great skiing. 182 trails, over 3000' of elevation gain from base to summit, and averges over 350" of snowfall a year. Also a little more open than some of the slopes I'm familiar with in Colorado.
