this is a very beautiful street with lots of fun, unique shops and restaurants, pubs and gift shops. Be sure to try one of the mom and pop sandwich shops. I had a "thanksgiving" sandwich that was so good I will never forget it.
we took a train from Dublin across the country. about a 3 hour trip. then we rented a car and made our way along the coast of the entire country. spectacular views. the little towns along the way like Galway are like out of storybooks. you have to get used to the driving there but it's well we took a train from Dublin across the country. about a 3 hour trip. then we rented a car and made our way along the coast of the entire country. spectacular views. the little towns along the way like Galway are like out of storybooks. you have to get used to the driving there but it's well worth it. this is a country to see by car.…see moresee less
the blarney castle is the famous one but if you drive the country side you will see many old castles that you can just jump out of your car and explore. much less crowded too.
awesome place to hear Irish music. the musicians are amazing. you'll hear the roots of what became popular American music from Green Day to Dylan. Some of the places get packed and are standing room only but that's part of the charm.
