Went here, took a ferry which only took about 5 minutes. Sampled a buncha different food here, bought some souvenirs and had some good cold brew coffee. Definitely recommended.
Famous for its “smoked meat,” the Quebec version of pastrami. Get a sandwich stacked mile-high with the stuff, schmear on a little brown mustard, scarf it down (then succumb to the food coma).
This place is a serious winter wonderland offering everything from ice skating to skiing right in the middle of a UNESCO World Heritage site. If you'd rather spend the day at a spa, they've got that, too.
This is a stunning hotel in terms of location (BANFF Nat'l Park and UNESCO Heritage site), size and intention. Their aim to be recognized on a global scale for responsible tourism & a progressive eye toward the environment.
I have only been to Victoria once (and I was about 12!) but I remember being taken with all the flowers. This is on my list of places to visit. Apparently these gardens were used as the model of the Canadian garden section at the Epcot in Florida.
