Great location for exploring the Ferry Building and the entire Embarcadero. If you can get a back corner table at Americano for a romantic dinner with your lady, it's outstanding. I suggest the pork chop if they still have it, and the servers know their wine recommendations.
this is my hotel of choice every time i'm in the city. It's close to some of my favorite spots... ferry building, yank sing, slanted door, and boulevard.
Gastro-pub. Great beers and food and even better vibe. Serve breakfast on weekends, 11 until 2:30 and I highly recommend the breakfast burrito (ask for a side of au jus). Otherwise, lunch and dinner. Great fish tacos, sandwiches, burgers (including the hummus burger, which is one of my Gastro-pub. Great beers and food and even better vibe. gastro pub with a ton of boutique beers. Also a small but respectable wine list. Food is good too. The breakfast burrito here is off the charts (only served on weekends however). Get an extra au jus with it... you'll thank me later.
love it here. I eat here multiple times a week. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their dinner menu is bistro style, so you never know what will be on the menu... something new all the time. Love it!
i used to be a member here. loved just cruising around and checking things out. Brew goes with the kids now all the time. it's great for the kids, but i bet you and Leezel would dig it too. You can probably get a deal with AAA or maybe check online too.
It's reasonably priced and you can easily spend 2+ hours here. I think the aquarium here is comparable to the one in Monterey (minus the gigantic few couple aquarium they have there).
They have awesome ice cream! Just prepare to wait in a long line, no matter whether it's ice cream weather or not. Grab a pint before you hit Dolores Park on the weekend.
If you're staying at hotel (as opposed to a private house) La Quinta is the best. You need to have REALLY good reason to stay anywhere else IMO. It's really tough to beat out there.
