I really wanted to go to Beast the last time I was in Portland, but couldn't make a reservation, so word to the wise -- make reservations in advance! I've heard the wonders of their food and bonus points that their prix fixe is really affordable.

I am dying to try La Jarochita's Veracruz-style tamales. They're made in banana leaves and Mexican flat breads. I'm drooling just thinking about it.

They don't call this "The Nines" for nothing, located in the top nine floors of the Meier & Frank Building it has already garnered multiple design awards for the interior and being true to its Portland roots maintains LEED status.
