These "Circus Trees" as they are called started their growth in the 1920s when a farmer named Axel Erlandson noticed a couple of sycamores that were grafting together and decided to see what he could do. This is a GREAT visit. Just try and get there early morning for most activity. If you land in the afternoon, the bison will be chilling out due to the high sun. Also, hit the California Academy of Sciences while you're there, as well as the Japanese tea garden right next door! One of my favoriteThis is a GREAT visit.
