If you are considering getting out of town for BBQ, skip Salt Lick and head to Lockhart, TX, largely considered the BBQ Capital of Texas.

This is an absolute must! 15-20 minute drive south of downtown. It's cash only by the way. They make their own wine there and have a bocce ball court as well.

I try to eat here every time I’m in New York, (I love sitting at the bar). Tom Collicchio does amazing stuff with seafood, and the oysters are always phenomenal. My wife can’t get enough of their insane desserts-- try the toffee steamed pudding with fresh made rum-raisin ice cream.

Upscale Japanese joint with some really amazing and unique desserts.

By far, the best sushi I've ever had. Pricy and you need a reservation.

Sushi Mizutani is hidden in the basement of an office building. It's hard to find and even harder to get a table. Take it from me though, the search is worth it.

Best Shabu dining experience ever! Love the dipping sauces and they serve Asahi Black straight from Japan here. Happy hour daily from 5-6 PM -- you get 15% off the entire bill!

Make reservations! Even if you do make reservations though, prepare to wait a bit anyways. They get packed!
