Java Developer

Trippy.com is currently building a next-generation travel system. We are looking to hire a developer who loves to solve problems by writing code.

The ideal person enjoys getting involved in both the server and client code bases.

The basic stack is mongo, java+spring, html5+css+javascript, and obj-c. You do not need to know all of the technologies we use day-to-day but are required to have a natural curiosity to learn new technologies and be comfortable writing Java.

Please include one of the following accounts in your email: github, stackoverflow, or linkedin.

Trippy is the first friend-sourced solution for travel , with a web and mobile app entirely designed to let your friends help plan your trip. After debuting a private beta as a Battlefield Finalist at TechCrunch Disrupt, Trippy launched the open beta of its friend-sourced solution for travel content in October 2011.

The company recently announced a seed round of funding with Sequoia Capital and True Ventures, among others, and was founded by travel start-up veteran J.R. Johnson, who previously launched VirtualTourist (acquired by Expedia in 2008).

Trippy is based in sunny Southern California, located in Manhattan Beach (greater Los Angeles area).
